Finally we have some nice weather and we are now all complaining it is too hot, plus worrying about what our babies should sleep in! Keeping your baby sleeping safely in hot weather is essential. You are probably quite experienced in getting the temperature right using a baby sleeping bag for our normal temperatures but here are a few tips to manage the summer heat.
Just as you thought you’d cracked this sleeping lark with your lovely baby, the four-month sleep regression hits! The long stretches of sleep at night become disturbed and naps tend to be both shorter and baby may be hard to settle for any sleeps.
It isn’t actually a regression as such; it is a permanent change in your baby’s sleeping habits. Your baby is maturing and developing at an incredible rate as their brain develops and as a result their sleep pattern changes.

All children from babies to teenagers (and even most adults!) thrive on having a routine and predictability around their sleeping patterns, but that routine isn’t the same for every family. Routines can differ greatly and, ultimately, any routine you choose has to be based on whether it works for your family. Sadly, the addition of a bath, story and warm drink isn’t going to be the answer to most sleep issues!
